2024 Wolf Creek, Colorado

Wow! What an amazing weekend! We had SO MUCH FUN in Wolf Creek, with 50+ skiers! The powder was incredible and although we all love bluebird days, they mean nothing if there isn’t any snow. The trip out was (thankfully) uneventful and we arrived at 5am to the local McDonalds, that graciously let us in early for breakfast. Almost all of our rooms were ready when we got to the hotel, so it was a pretty quick turn to get everybody back on the bus and head up to the mountain! Our experienced mountain driver, Doug, was there to guide us safely up and down the route each day and even had the opportunity to train some new mountain drivers while we were there. We got to try out the new “socks” for the bus, which are MUCH easier and faster to put on. We made it up the pass and it was time to hit the slopes! It was still dumping fresh powder for us and we took advantage of every inch on that mountain for the next 3 days. In the evenings, there was plenty of time to seek out the local restaurants and bars, as well as the famous hot springs. We found ourselves patiently waiting for avalanche control the 2nd day, which also meant there was no ski patrol to set up and run the fun race, which was a bummer. We love beating the locals….but there’s always next year! Speaking of next year….what would you say to TWO Wolf Creek trips??
