2023 Wolf Creek, Colorado

What a great time to be on this trip. We were graced with a bluebird Saturday followed by a 20″+ powder dump the next. While the visibility was diminished due to the snow we can’t complain too much after playing around in the deep stuff. Several new people joined us and got to experience the fun that we always have on the Wolf Creek trip.

The only caveat to all that powder was the fun race was cancelled due to safety conditions from so much snow. That almost never happens with the fun race so we were a little bit bummed but then grew smiles on our faces due to the powder conditions.

The snow kept falling into Monday and even Monday night as we travelled home. If only we were able to stay another 2 days and experience the four feet of snow from that storm that pushed us out of the state.

Thanks again to all the participants and most especially Jesse our driver that got us there each day and home safely. Yes, tire chains were used and they were definitely needed.
