Steamboat 2026 , 1/24 – 1/30

Thank you all for joining us this year in Steamboat for the Flatlands Ski Association Race Trip. What a fun week!

While it started out a little rocky for those of us on group air with the canceled flight, we finally arrived, and I think it’s safe to say everyone still had a great time. Thank you so much for your patience during the two-day delay. It was definitely frustrating, but completely out of our control, and we truly appreciate everyone’s understanding.

A few well-deserved shout-outs:

• Congratulations to all of the award winners (race results are attached)
• Bette Wood — congratulations on yet another GOLD medal!
• Charlie Wood — time to step up the training… we’re not used to seeing anyone beat you when it comes to the GOLD, but you did win the SILVER. 
• Bill Orland, our very own “Dancing King”.  Thanks for bringing the dance moves, disco sparkle, and legendary dancing shoes. What would we do without you and your fun?  You definitely bring it on the floor!
• Royce Walker, now forever known as “Polaroyce,” for the unforgettable Speedo appearance in the hot tub. He assures us it’s been safely put away in a drawer
• And yes—my skis did accidentally get turned in as rentals, but they were recovered, so all’s well that ends well!

Also, a special thank you to Brad and Lori Mirth for joining us for their first OKC Ski Club trip. We hope you had a great time, because we certainly loved having you with us.

We truly appreciate all of you for being part of the OKC Ski Club and hope you made memories that will last well beyond this season. We can’t wait to ski with you again on a future trip!

Until then, stay safe and keep doing those snow dances.
