Breckenridge 2025 , 3/29 – 4/3
The OKC Ski Club’s 2025 Breckenridge adventure kicked off in true club fashion — with a toast at Will Rogers International Airport. It was a special moment, not just because the trip was about to begin, but because we were celebrating Kai Simonton’s debut as trip captain. From the very first drink, we knew we were in good hands.
The flight was smooth, the energy was high, and by the time we reached Breckenridge, we had already linked up with a few fellow members ready for the mountain. Our penthouse home base didn’t disappoint either — outfitted with vintage ski gear, old muskets, and enough mounted animal heads to make it feel like a mountain lodge-meets-ski museum. The vibes were on point.
🎿 Snow Days & Après Adventures
Our first couple of days brought warm temps and mashed potato snow, but the mountains rewarded our patience with fresh powder on the final two days — a true payoff for anyone chasing that peak Breck experience. Whether cruising blues or diving into bowls, the mountain delivered.
Off the slopes, the fun continued. Sunday’s wine & cheese social helped everyone settle in, but the real highlight was karaoke-quiz night on Monday — with legendary performances and impromptu duets. Not to be outdone, Eli’s trivia night brought out some serious (and hilarious) competition and crowned its own brainy champions.
Dinner plans varied nightly, with small groups branching off to explore Breck’s vibrant food scene. From cozy pub grub to classy eats, there was no shortage of great meals and great conversation.
🛣️ The Road Back & Reflections
The return trip threw us a few classic Colorado curveballs — a delayed bus due to a breakdown, icy road conditions, and, of course, a little Denver Airport chaos. But none of that could dampen the mood. As always, it’s the people that make the trip, and this group brought all the good energy.

First ski day at Breckenridge didn’t disappoint. Firm in the morning and great by mid morning. Great time skiing with friends and even better group lunches together on the mountain. Ramen brought back memories of Japan along with sake happy hour. Wine and cheese party brought everyone together again for a fun time.

OKC ski club in the PentHOUSE!
We have arrived and holy cow the digs are lit. Two stories of bedrooms and two stories of glass windows as we gaze upon the snowstorm that lasted about 2 hours.
Great start to a trip!
